Context
Digital Manufacturing Studio (2016)
The main objective of this project is to minimize the import of materials, using the stone normally used for building pads. Its digital design generates and optimizes structures that can be adapted to various topographies, while offering opportunities for dialogue with an often mineral landscape. A robotic assembly allows modules to be manufactured and assembled on site. Such modules, whose shapes can vary with very few constraints, can be built like gabions. Two main spaces are generated for this pavilion: a central point that encourages encounters, and points of isolation and contemplation, facing the landscape.
