Context

Thesis Project (2019)

This project promotes the sharing and actualizing of traditional knowledge within the domestic space. House configurations try to reinterpret the layout of the igloo in a contemporary way. The interior is thought according to daily practices rather than the usual sets of rooms in models. The ensemble includes five homes for families of five to eight members, a community center, a workshop to support hunting and fishing activities, and a technical pavilion (water and fuel storage). Everything is connected by a circular footbridge which creates an open and unifying central space.
