Context

Form and Integration Studio (2017)

This project explores possible relationships between land and built environment by way of a new Center for the arts in the center of Puvirnituq, next to the water. A main idea orients all design choices: the building’s volumes merge with the topography. The boundaries and paths around the building are “blurred” so the Center is not a barrier to daily mobility or activities, but rather an essential part of the community’s daily life and the landscape. The work and exhibition areas are distributed in a circular way, under a large unifying dome, open to the sky.
